It is my great pleasure to approach to you with this blog " ZOOLOGY". In this blog i have tried to eliminate all the problems  that students face during the study of zoology basically, on the contents of levels of understanding. This blog is written according to the latest syllabus of Higher Secondary Eduction Board, Nepal.

I have modified the matters to the new HSEB question pattern and valuable suggestion of teachers and students in this site.
I believe that students will feel easy  to understand the contents of this blog. The illustration and chart are included adequately.

I hope, this blog will fulfill all the requirements for students.I will be truly thankful for healthy comments.
 Biology

There are plenty of plants and animals found on the earth. The study of life and living things, both plants and animals is called Biology (Gr. bios=life, logos=discourse or knowledge) .biology is a science devoted to study of living organism. Science has progressed by breaking down complex subject of study into their componet part. Today there are numerous branches of biology. Some of them are Morphology, Anatomy, Cytology, Genetics taxonomy, ecology, physiology and histology.
The major contributions in the development of biology were made by Hippocrates(460-320BC), Aristotle(384-322BC), Theophrastus(370-285 BC), Robert Hooke (1635-1703 BC), carlous linnaeous (1707-1778AD), Charles Darwin(1809-1822 AD), Mendel(1822-1844 AD) and many other biologists.
  1. Lamarck and Treviranus (1802)
  2. Aristotle is the father of zoology.
  3. Theophrastus is the father of botany.
  4. Hippocrates is the father of medicine.
  5. Ampedocles is the father  concept of  organic evolution.
